While in La Grande last weekend, my sister-in-law and I went for a morning walk with mocha money in our pockets. We came
upon a barn sale...and I found a few treasures.
The little pink glass set up above is intended for Emmalee someday.
I don't know how old it is or how to find out...any ideas?
I know that it's at least 30 years old. The pitcher is about three inches tall with swans in the design.
It was so much fun...we went to just two Goodwills, but found
a ton of fun things.
The Pyrex baking dish didn't have a price on it, so I asked an
employee how much it would cost. He took a .99 sticker off of another
dish and put it on mine. It happened to be the color of the day, so I got it for .50!
I'm looking for old wooden frames for a collage I've planned.
While digging through the frames, I came across this little guy.
I immediately started laughing and decided I had to have him.
It's handmade, with a date of 1974 printed on the back.
I've decided I'm going to hang him where I can see him often
throughout the day.
Again, I bought them for the frames...the needlework will likely be turned into little pillows. Mom and I were amazed by how many handmade
things made it to Goodwill. If I ever make something for you, please don't send it to a Goodwill near me... :)
will likely get a facelift once I decide which room it belongs in.
I already have. As you can see, they were immediately put to use!
one found a home with us for $2.99.

I'm always happy to find handmade items at the thrift store, and can rarely pass them up! Your afghans and needlework pictures are great!
Okay, I want to come thrifting with YOU! It seems you know where to go ;)
Awesome job! I love the Pinky and Blue Boy Needlepoint-I have statues of them that my Mom made in the 50's-Love 'em.
Really great finds!
Love the dog stitchery, of course.
Had to laugh at the Tupperware. Was watching a new decluttering show on BBC today - and the woman had every cupboard as full as could be of plastic bins just like that!
