{thankful}

I'm thankful that:

my kids are so much braver than me

they are so comfortable with who they are

there are only 38 days left of tax season

I have a husband who is willing to work long hours for his family
and that the rest of the year is easier on him ( and us )

69 degrees and sunshine

the tulips are popping through the ground
and the lilacs are getting ready to go

I'm no longer working one or two days a week.  The house is cleaner, I'm less stressed,
I can spend as many days at the school each week as needed,
and I can finally work on my business

we get to travel through life with friends by our side

tomorrow is Sunday

This past week...

...we tried out a new hairstyle for "Wacky Wednesday"
and it became a new favorite...

...we tried a little Green Eggs and Ham...
(please ignore the wide-open view from Emma's neighbor)

...we spent a bit of time with our Girl Scout friends...

...we took a few test drives...

...we attended Ryan's last event as a Cub Scout.
He received his Arrow of Light and will officially be a Boy Scout
after next week's campout (that I get the proviledge to attend!).

...we tried to figure out why they were blindfolded ~ still working on that one...

...we won a few and lost a few ...
...we were goofy...

...the Girl Scout took fourth place in the open division and was very
sad that she didn't get a trophy...
...Bob enjoyed his only 1/2 day off during tax season (after working from 4 a.m. until 11:30 p.m.)

...we took the first of many Spring bike rides through the nature park...

...and we got together with several other schools
that will feed into our Junior High School and entertained
the parents with some awesome singing!

I gotta crown!

A couple of weeks ago, I scheduled a visit with my dentist to have a tooth crowned.  That morning, as we were talking about our plans for the day, I told Emma that I was going to get a crown while she was in school.  Being seven years old and (luckily) never in need of a tooth crowning,  she assumed that I meant a real princess crown.  When I told the dentist about it, we had a nice laugh.
Today, when I went in to get my crown permanently attached, he surprised me with a real crown for Emmalee!  She was quite excited when we got home from school and saw her crown waiting
for her!  Isn't our dentist cool?!
