Take-A-Long Letter Writing Book

I've been wanting to make a small "book" that would hold cards, stamps and a pen for quite awhile. I found a pattern, tried it, and didn't like how it turned out. So, I made my own pattern and used some scraps...love it! It's got both interfacing and thin cotton batting, so it's durable enough to keep the cards from getting bent.

With six cards (it'll hold ten), a pen and stamps.

Details

Finished measurements are approx. 7" (H) and 5.25" (W) when closed.

One side could also be used for a small notebook to keep track of addresses and
who's needing to receive a card in the mail.

Cas...yes, it's a stitch on my machine. Never used it before, but it's kinda fun!

This is lovely! I'm fond of that fabric...JoAnn's? Or elsewhere? I'm impressed with your creativity that just keeps going and going and going and going :-)

Amy...the fabric was from Joann's, but I got it probably in 2009. I looked for it today because I LOVE it, too, but I didn't see it. I'll keep an eye out for you. If I see it, how much would you want?

And thanks so much for the kind words...

What an awesome creating, Katie! I also LOVE the fabric! I made some letter-writing folders that are similar to this, but are made from designer file-folders. We made them at a card party a year or two ago. Mine has come in VERY handy...and has even helped me be better about writing letters!! ;)
