My Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day.
It was really more like a Mother's Weekend, thanks to my wonderful husband.
~
Friday night, while Bob watched the kids, Mom and I went scrapbooking at Archiver's
from 5-11. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together. I worked on last summer's pictures and Mom worked on her photos from their time in North Carolina.
~
Saturday, Mom, Emmalee and I headed to the Botanical Gardens with dear friends
while Bob and Ryan hung out together at home.
~

When the kids and I got home from meeting on Sunday morning, there were a dozen roses and sweet cards from Bob and the kids.

Here are two of the cutest cooks I've ever seen! Bob and the kids made me lunch and then cleaned up. I think that was the best part! :)

After a bit of relaxing in the afternoon, we went to the MK Nature Center.

The flowers were gorgeous!

My sweet family.

The kids love to be outside exploring.
We are all looking forward to lots of time outside this summer.

The kids, or course, can't pass up any opportunity to play in the water.

He's watching us from up above the stream...probably imagining how
funny I'll look when I have to retrieve Emma from under the bridge.
Not this time! Just feet got wet today.

Throughout the Nature Center you'll find huge fish tanks full of
fish at all stages of life. The kids love to look at these.
There are also rainbow trout in the large water area...I didn't get any photos...but Ryan
really wanted to go fishing! He just can't understand why there isn't
any fishing allowed.

I want these in my yard!

One of the trails ends up at a playground.
By now it was about 6:00 on a nice sunny day,
and the park was full of the delicious aroma of summertime BBQs.

Ryan played for a bit, but I think he might
just be outgrowing playgrounds!
