The healing power of sunshine

November sunshine
brings with it

the feeling of something unexpected.

To know that five days ago, on Thursday, it was snowing.

But today, there's warmth and sunshine and

jacketless kids chasing after balls.

There's silliness and polka-dotted tights.

And a mom who figured that she'd rather be sitting outside
in the barkdust in the sunshine listening to the laughter
than sitting inside, where the sun wasn't shining.

So happy for some sunshine in your life! Literally and figuratively.

I hope the weekend holds more of the same for you all!! We have some very story and blustery fall weather going on her in Portland, the kind that makes me want to stay in bed in my sweats with a good book!
