First Day of School

It's official. The first day of school is upon us again.

In order to save money, half of the schools in the district are starting later and ending

later in the day. This means that the kids get to sleep in a bit more than normal.

We all sure like it!!

We started the day with happy face chocolate-chip pancakes.

Ryan is in fourth, and Emmalee is starting Kindergarden!!
Ryan has been very excited to see his friends again, and
Emmalee has been looking forward to school for the past month!

Emma asked if we could get an apple for her teacher.

She was so excited to hand it to her before school started.

I wasn't too concerned about how Emma would handle school. She's

very outgoing and loves to learn. I had to call her back to me to give me

a hug and kiss. She was already on her way to making her first friend

(who she has already declared her best friend at school).

Ryan was a bit nervous, but he felt better once he saw that he knew

most of the kids in his class.

An after school treat at Starbucks.

Ryan said that he really likes his teacher and is excited

for this year. Emma told me that Kindergarden is AWESOME!!
